A more relaxed and scenic alternative

An alternate route to Blackhawk Farms Raceway from the Chicago area that avoids the I-90. Helpful if you live in the suburbs north of the city. Lots of opportunities to divert to a more northern route along the way, via the northbound 83, 12 or 31, all of which will intercept the 173 westbound and put you back on route. Be sure to check out family owned Dacy Airport just west of Harvard. You might see a vintage Stearman biplane parked on the grass. A more relaxed and scenic drive going to or from a track day at Blackhawk Farms.
