Sheridan Road to Lakeshore Drive Along the Lake

This drive along the lakefront is a Chicago classic.
It starts in the northern suburbs near Great Lakes Naval Station and follows Sheridan Road south through the north shore communities into the city, where it joins Lake Shore Drive and heads south, through downtown.
Then, you’ll drive on through Jackson Park, a short trip into Steelworkers Park (former site of the US Steel South Works), and then lastly to Calumet Park.
The Sheridan Road section is slow, but scenic, especially in the fall.
