Last year we had so much FUN touring the famous Murals with Homewood’s Event Manager Allisa that we decided to come back this year for a even larger event...The Street Artisan Fair. The fair is a 2 day event with 105 artisan booths, several bands, and street food vendors that attracted over 5,000 people last year.

This event looks like so much fun that we have invited our brethren from the Michiana Chapter to jump in their cars and join us. It’s only 80 mile/1.5 hour drive from South Bend (don’t forget about time change). Michiana’s Region President Murray Bartel and I met at last year’s parade. We thought we should try to bring our two great Regions together for some fun this summer.

We will start out by parking in the St Joseph parking lot (Homewood Police Dept is directly across the street) at 10:30AM where we will meet up with Allisa.

At 11:30...We will take a short 2 minute walk to the Vice District Microbrewery, 18027 Dixie Highway. The owner Jessie will have plenty of room in their 120 seat taproom and take us in small groups for tours of the brewery. Jessie is arranging a food truck from Famous Mae’s Que to supply us with a great BBQ lunch. To make thing super simple...drinks and lunch are on your own tabs, but I need everyone to register online to help make sure Mae’s Que has enough food.

After lunch you are welcome to stay as long as you like at the taproom before heading into the Artisan/Music/Food Fair which is open until 9PM. Homewood has their Farmer’s Market open for business in the morning so we might want to walk across the street before we leave for our walk to the Vice District.
