The Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America was established in 1957 as the Chicago-Milwaukee region, making the 6th region in the country. The region was the host of the fourth Parade in 1959 at Nippersink Manor in southern Wisconsin. By 1960, the northern Illinois membership had grown so large that it could support its own region and a split at the border could be made. Beginning in 1960, the original Chicago-Milwaukee region became the Chicago region, and a new region was created in Milwaukee. We are one of the largest regions with more than 4000 members and are part of PCA’s Zone 13.
For more on how the region started, click here.
The members of the Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America are joined together and are mutually pledged to the furtherance and promotion of the following:
- The highest standards of motor vehicle maintenance, driving courtesy and safety on the roads.
- The enjoyment and sharing of goodwill and fellowship engendered by owning a Porsche and engaging in such social, educational, or other events as may be agreeable to the membership.
- The maintenance of the highest standards of operation and performance of the marque by sharing and exchanging technical and mechanical information.
- The establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships with the Porsche Works, Porsche Dealers, and other service sources to the end that the marque shall prosper and continue to enjoy its unique leadership and position in sports car annals.
- The interchange of ideas and suggestions with other Porsche Clubs and other interested parties throughout the world and in such cooperation as may be desirable.
- The establishment of such mutually cooperative relationships with other car clubs as may be desirable.
- The preservation of the independence of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and the Chicago Region, free of control or undue influence by any outside individual, organization, company, or other entity, no matter how closely aligned to the Club in interest or purpose. In furtherance of this goal, the Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region is and shall remain a totally member-driven and primarily member-financed independent entity allowing neither inappropriate nor undue influence, financial or material, from outside its domain, owing allegiance only to its members.

Event Details
The Tire Rack Street Survival School is a must for all teen drivers. When teen drivers attend this school, they learn to drive their car in a safe and controlled way, and they learn and practice driving skills that will keep them safe on the road.
The school is a full day, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We provide coffee, juice and donuts, lunch, and liquid refreshments throughout the day for students, parents, and volunteers.
Class size is limited to 30 students. Students must be between 15 and 20 of age and must have had their learner’s permit for at least half the time the issuing state requires before taking their driver’s test or has a full driver’s license. Registration preference will be given to the children of a PCA Chicago Region member.
Students drive their own vehicle or the one they most frequently drive on a daily basis. If two siblings are attending an event together, and the car they both drive on a daily basis is the same, they may share a vehicle.
High Center of Gravity Vehicles (HCGs) such as SUVs, SAVs, Trucks, Jeep-type vehicles, and Minivans are verified on a case-by-case basis and may not be allowed. The older HCGs without electronic stability control (not just the electronic traction control) will not be accepted. HCG vehicles may still be limited with respect to the exercises in which they are allowed to participate based on local venue conditions.
The day is a mixture of classroom and in-car exercises. The students spend about two hours in three classroom sessions where they learn the theory of safe driving. Except for an hour break for lunch, the rest of the time is spent driving their car in a series of 5 or 6 exercises that simulate real world driving conditions.
Students learn how they and their car can cope with actual driving situations. Instructors will ride with the students and provide immediate feedback, and students will drive each exercise many times, allowing them to learn from their mistakes and develop and practice correct driving techniques.
Parents are encouraged to attend our school. They may sit in on the classroom presentations and observe the driving exercises.
Please watch this short video to learn more.

Now’s the time to schedule some springtime excitement! Driving your Porsche at speed on a track, in a safe and controlled environment, with an instructor sitting right next to you!
Blackhawk Farms Raceway, in South Beloit (near the Wisconsin/Illinois border), is a complex 1.9 mile, 7-turn track that provides an ideal learning environment that will keep you focused all day.
We typically have 40+ novice drivers, so this is a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts, learn the track, learn the car, and have a GREAT time doing it. We also incorporate a group of more experienced drivers, so no matter what your experience, this is an excellent “season opener” for you track enthusiasts, or soon-to-be track enthusiasts.
This event is open to all sport cars that pass tech (Cayenne, Macan or other SUV’s, electric vehicles, and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) and to all drivers 18 and older with an emphasis on the novice driver. This is the event to attend if you are new to the club and are interested in learning how to drive your car on a race track. Novice drivers get a morning and afternoon classroom sessions and in-car instruction.
This event also has an online classroom session on Tuesday, April 23rd, starting at 7:00 PM where you will learn the basics of safely driving on a racetrack and what to expect during the event. If you have never driven on a racetrack, attending this session is highly recommended. Access information for attending the session will be emailed to new drivers in advance of the session.
By the way, we’ll need instructors for our new or less-experienced drivers, but as a thank-you, volunteer instructors will receive a voucher for use at a future PCA Chicago event.

3021 Butterfield Oak Brook, IL 60523 8:30-11:00am
We are going back in for another great Porsches & Pastries at one of our favorite venues.
Please register in advance…we want to give our hosts an idea of how many members are coming and for us to reach you if there are any last minute changes.
Once again, we will be holding a “Show and Shine” in conjunction with the Porsches & Pastries. In these new events there will be a much simpler judging of the exterior only of the car and there will also be a peoples choice. All you need to do is clean the outside of your car (body, wheels and glass) and you are ready to participate. Cars will be judged by the concours judges, all attendees with the People’s Choice and by youth judges. Every level is welcome. If you’ve never participated in concours before, this fun and informal Show and Shine-type event will definitely be a great start to learn the ins and outs of concours and participating in the concours events later in the summer.
Show and Shine participants are restricted to Porsche vehicles only.
Please let us know if you are planning bring guests.
See you there!

Event Details
The Chicago Region Porsche Club presents RADE, a novice driver school with an emphasis on safety, in Elkhart Lake, WI at Road America—one of the premier racetracks in the country. This program, held over the Memorial Day weekend, was developed to teach novice drivers 18+ the skills necessary to drive your Porsche car (Cayenne, Macan or other SUV’s, electric vehicles, and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) at its limits in a safe and controlled environment. All students will be provided an in-car instructor to show you the proper “line” around the track, teach how the principles of accel- and deceleration impact your vehicle, and help you learn car awareness on this 4-mile, 14-turn track.
All drivers who have not driven Road America previously should attend the valuable, novice driver’s orientation meeting on Thursday, May 23rd at 8pm, featuring veteran Club Race drivers John Ruther and Greg Turek, after which instructors will be assigned. Additional classroom sessions will be provided throughout the weekend.
Registration for this event is exclusively at clubregistration.net where the price schedule is outlined—including premium rates for Early Birds, discounts for 2-driver cars, golf cart rental and an event long-sleeved t-shirt (may not be available if not confirmed prior to May 12th). Online waivers are required for all participants. Your entry will not be not be confirmed if the e-waiver is not completed and payment is not made. Be sure to opt in for text communications to stay up to date with all event announcements.
Cancellations must be made via email to the event coordinator or registrar and will incur a nominal fee after April 3rd. There will be no refunds after May 19th or for no shows at the event due to the cost incurred by the club to rent the track to put on this event.
We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible as this is traditionally a very popular weekend in this resort town. Mention PCA Chicago if booking at the Osthoff Resort to receive the discounted block room rate. Siebken’s Resort and the Shore Club are also great options.
