Come out and enjoy a nice long drive in your Porsche through the Wisconsin countryside for our first ever Oktoberfest Driving Tour.
On Saturday 10/08, we will drive through Illinois to Madison, WI where we will have lunch. (Click here for the lunch menu.) We will then proceed to Wausau, Wi where we will visit several brew pubs and stay overnight at the Courtyard-Wausau.
Sunday 10/09, is a free day with no scheduled events or planned stops. Participants are free to depart at their leisure.
The tentative schedule for Saturday 10/8/11 follows:
- Arrive at Cracker Barrel Rest. 1855 West Diehl Road Naperville, IL (Rt 59 and I-88) for breakfast at 8:00 am (Optional)
- Depart Cracker Barrel Rest. for the driving tour at 9:00 am
- First stop is lunch at Vintage Brewing, 674 S. Whitney Way, Madison, WI Approx. Noon
- Second stop is Bull Falls Brewery, 901 E. Thomas Street, Wausau, WI Approx. 5:00 pm
- Third stop is Red Eye Brewing, 612 Washington Street, Wausau, WI Approx 6:00 pm
- Next we check in at the Courtyard-Wausau, 1000 S. 22nd Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401 (715) 849-2124
- (Discounted rooms ($89.00 plus tax) , ample parking, and a very short walk to dinner)
- Dinner at Great Dane Pub and Brewing, 2305 Sherman Street, Wausau, WI. literally next door to the hotel. Approx. 7:30 pm
