The Chicago Region will be conducting a Concours Preparation School for both concours contestants as well as members who want their Porsches to just look real pretty, on SUNDAY 2/19/2012. All members who are interested in Improving the appearance, and the preservation of our lovely machines are invited.

Our instructors are experienced national‐class concours competitors and judges. Due to the increased attendance, we will have several “stations” set up to address preparation issues relating to exteriors, interiors, engines and chassis. Attendees will be able to get “up close” and actually see how it is done.

Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and the school will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. We will hold 4 simultaneous sessions and then repeat them a total of 4 times. Everyone will have a chance to spend time with each instructor before rotating to the next station. At the conclusion of the class, attendees will have a general knowledge of the following:

• EXTERIOR: How to clean, polish and protect the exterior of your car, including the wheels. As well as how to fix pesky paint chips.
• INTERIOR: How to clean and care for leather, vinyl, carpeting and glass.
• ENGINES: How to clean and detail a Porsche engine compartment. Yes, Boxster and Caymen owners, this includes you....
• CHASSIS: For only the sickest of competitors. How to clean the transaxle, chassis and suspension components.
