Come join us for the final Rallye of the year in New Glarus, a.k.a. Little Switzerland in Wisconsin. You have heard about them. Now, come enjoy driving these great roads. These are some of the best you will find especially at this time of year. This weekend should be at the height of the fall color change. The rallye will begin at the Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus and will end at the Suisse Haus in Monroe, WI. There is also a Group dinner scheduled for Saturday Night at the Chalet Landhaus.

Drive up Saturday and spend the day exploring New Glarus or playing golf at one of the nearby golf courses. Visit the home of Spotted Cow Beer at New Glarus Brewery.

Don’t want to rallye, but would still like to explore the area? Make a donation to our charity, Toys-for-Tots. You will be given a set of touring instructions to enjoy the same roads the rallyists will be driving. So there is something for everyone!

Do not wait to make Hotel reservations at the Chalet Landhaus. This weekend is one of their busiest of the year due to the color change. Although they are waiving their two-night stay requirement, they are only holding the block of rooms until September 17th. SO CALL NOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION!

For the 12th consecutive year, the Chicago Region will conduct a Concours Judges School. All PCA members interested in improving their judging skills for local and national Concours events are invited.

Our instructors are experienced national judges as well as national competitors who have been certified as judges. We will have examples of preservation, restoration and preparation cars for training. The Chicago Region uses a scoring system very similar to the national “Parade” so this is good training for future national judges.

Before the snow flies, and the Illinois roads are covered with salt, sand and cinder, it might be a good time to consider a variety of car maintenance and storage issues. Your safety and the longevity of your PORSCHE can be enhanced if you address certain issues before winter sets in. Whether you drive your vehicle all winter, or put it to bed, this 2 hour tech session will help you prepare your vehicle for the elements and next year’s events.

First you need to buy your Porsche.  Got one?  Good!

For this last event we’re bringing it back to our “home turf” for a fun and fast course that I hope will make everyone happy to be an Autocrosser. Expect to see competitors from both the Central Wisconsin and Milwaukee regions in attendance who will attempt to be the top scorer in their respective categories. But we aren’t going to let THAT happen, are we Chicago region? So put on your game face, er, driving face and come out to have a wonderful time to end this fun season.
As it’s the last event please try to join us for the “after glow” at a nearby establishment immediately following where we can enjoy each other’s company, throw a few back and continue to talk about our favorite subject – cars!
