Rockford Speedway is a quarter-mile, high-banked, asphalt race track sanctioned by NASCAR, participating in their Whelen All-American Series. With more than 60 years of history it hosts events like the big dog of short track events, the National Short Track Championships. But on this day in August the speedway will be the venue for Chicago Region Autocrossers for a day of good-natured rivalry. This venue is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip–as anyone who has driven here can attest.

For the very first time ever we will be adding this new location, home of the Boomer’s Baseball team, to our repertoire of venues at which some of our members have run with other clubs in the past and really enjoyed. For this last event of the season we’ll be designing an exciting, fun course to spur that inner competitor on. Bring a friend and let’s show them how much fun we have in the Porsche Club. Perhaps we’ll gain a future new member.
